I am an independent sourcing agent based in Foshan, Guangdong, China. Born in the 1980s, I have a background in internet security and online marketing, with nearly 18 years of experience in the e-commerce industry. I previously served as a mid-level marketing manager at a Fortune 500, NYSE-listed e-commerce company, where I built extensive experience dealing with manufacturers and brand owners.
Due to a combination of factors, I entered the procurement and sourcing industry in the first half of 2025. Initially, I helped out at a friend’s company, handling online customer acquisition and assisting the owner with factory relations. In the first half of 2026, with my friend’s support, I decided to launch my own sourcing business, which led to the creation of this website: MrTan.net. My mission is straightforward: I want to be a pure sourcing agent—one who works strictly on a service fee basis and firmly refuses all kickbacks or commissions from factories. My physical factory visits and on-site operations are focused strictly within Guangdong Province (though online sourcing covers all of China). I can act as your “eyes and ears on the ground” in Guangdong—auditing factories, negotiating order terms, securing the lowest possible Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ), conducting quality control inspections, and managing final shipment logistics.
